Wall-Mounted Water Features · Custom Logo Designs · Global Brands
I started Waterwall Biz in 2014, but my journey with water features began much earlier. In 1989, I launched my first company, AquaWorks. We specialized in stand-up waterwalls — floor-based designs that could rise as high as 80 feet. Over the years, we created more than 2,000 different models.
One day, while reviewing a waterwall installation, a client asked a simple question: "Can this be mounted on a wall?" At the time, I had seen only one company attempt it. Their design used slate — it simply didn't work. Water would splash outward over a foot while the basin below was only six to eight inches deep. Constant spillage. Poor performance.
So I spent months designing my own wall-mounted model — one that would eliminate splashing entirely. The goal was to make it as thin and clean as possible while still housing the internal pump. The final design came in at about 5½ inches deep from the wall — sleek, efficient, and visually balanced.
When installed, it didn't just hang on the wall — it belonged there. It looked more like a piece of art than a mechanical feature. But I didn't stop at function. I focused heavily on the finish. Every unit was custom-painted, sanded, and refined until the surface was flawless. The end result had the depth, shine, and quality of a Ferrari finish.
From there, the concept evolved. I began adding scenic designs, and then something even more powerful — logos. For any company in the liquid business — water, coffee, tea, beer, spirits, energy drinks — there is no stronger point-of-purchase display than liquid flowing over their own logo.
I went after major brands — Starbucks, Beam, Absolut Vodka, Monster, 5-Hour Energy, Tejava, and many more. Before long, companies were ordering custom wall-mounted waterwalls featuring their logos. The concept took off quickly and became extremely popular.
Because this was such a distinct evolution from my original company, I made the decision to separate the two brands. AquaWorks remained focused on large, freestanding waterwalls. Waterwall Biz became the home for wall-mounted innovations.
Today, the concept has come full circle — offering both floor-standing and wall-mounted designs — but built on two separate foundations, each with its own identity.
